Motivational Seminars
class-on-finacial-While it is true that the global economic situation is grim, we also need to remember that…“He who loses money loses much, but he who loses faith loses all.” - Faith defined as “that wonderful assurance that God will help us through every circumstance of our lives.” It is important to keep our faith and sense of optimism strong in trying times and that is something that we at The Family India are committed to helping others to do. We do this by conducting motivational seminars and workshops on the subject of  staying positive despite the gathering gloom enfolding the world. Our seminars help attendees learn to adopt a positive outlook even in the midst of difficult circumstances and become forces of positive change in a negative world.

The same afternoon, there was a meeting on the importance and need of abolishing Child labour which was presided by the area's MLA. • The importance of change for progress,

  • The benefits of daily personal reflection time, etc.

On the last day, we organized a tour of Goa for all the participants.

Helping the Elderly

The Family Home has been providing support services to Old Age Homes in Hyderabad since 2002. One particular Home for the Aged run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, is home to 135 elderly people .

Every month we help to celebrate the birthdays of the elderly. On a typical birthday celebration we have all the birthday “boys & girls” sit up in front & the oldest one cuts the cake and distribute gifts for the birthday folks. There were also sumptuous snacks for all and while they were relaxing with their snacks they were entertained. To make it interesting every month we organize something different, be it Magic shows, Ventriloquism, Jugglers, Classical dances, Folk singers, Orchestra music to Movies & on occasions some of the elderly themselves perform. These Birthday celebrations are the highlight of the month with the elderly looking forward to them with anticipation and all the adulation and affection they get from us only make it more memorable for them.
