Everyone needs someone who will listen completely, empathize truly, affirm their self-worth sincerely and offer counsel wisely. Members of the Family India spend a great part of their working hours counselling those in need.
Their professional yet highly personable approach to counseling and coaching helps professionals from all walks of life. Our members listen to you, (pray for you, if you like) and read relevant and subject-pertinent literature with you excerpted from our very large reservoir of inspirational and life coaching materials. Their gentle approach coupled with their diverse life experience and deep grasp of spiritual life principles, goes a long way in helping people to find solutions to the problems that vex them.
Personal counseling and growth coaching are also offered on topics such as stress management, workplace issues, building better interpersonal relationships, work-life balance, parenting, marriage, and practical spirituality.
Motivational Meetings
Many of our members conduct weekly, bi weekly and monthly motivational meetings to provide like-minded people a forum to get together on a regular basis and ‘recharge their spiritual batteries’, so to speak. These meetings include reading, music, reflection and discussion. The purpose of these meetings is two-fold: To help attendees to find the spiritual strength and stamina that is needed to face life’s challenges successfully; to help them to become ‘thermostats’ in society. – People are either ‘thermometers’ or thermostats’. Thermometers only reflect the environment, but thermostats affect it. The world needs more ‘thermostats’ – people who will affect their world positively and make it a better place by living lives of kindness and outgoing concern.
Spiritual Retreats
The Family India conducts regular spiritual retreats for friends, supporters as well as professionals from all walks of life. The purpose of these retreats is to help the attendees to reflect, recharge and be rejuvenated. At these retreats we cover topics such as learning to see life’s difficulties the way God sees them – as tools for our growth and not as reasons for defeat and depression; being aware of the influences and effects of modern media, and keeping in mind the true values of life; becoming a “Workplace World-changer”; developing the qualities of a good leader.
Also included at these events is live music by some of our musicians from around the country, meditation sessions, invigorating activities as well as hilarious and thought-provoking skits from our skit team. These retreats help the attendees to re-evaluate their life priorities; develop deeper bonds with their families; learn to recognize and overcome stress; learn more about the power of prayer; learn to forgive and forget
